Environmental protection is understood very widely and it includes air, water and soil pollution as well as noise exposure and combating climate change. Environmental protection also includes rules on environmental impact assessments for certain public and private projects. E.g. the following offenses can be submitted: illegal waste disposal, improper handling of harmful substances, water, soil or air pollution.

Concerns violations of the GDPR and the Data Protection Act as well as regulations for the protection of personal data and non-compliance with regulations and measures of the mdw that ensure the security of network and information. 

This includes in particular cases where a large number or particularly sensitive data is affected.
